Hello Afri-tunes community, it's week #121 of our weekly contest and as always I'm super excited to share my entry. I trust we all are doing good. For this week, I'd be performing the secular song as suggested in the community for week #121.The amazing tune is by Nigerian singer-songwriter and record producer "Davido" called "Jowo" off his third studio album "A Better Time" which was released in 2020. Two weeks in a row now, I've covered Davido's songs cause I'm a huge fan of his works 😉.
In the song, the singer begs his love interest not to leave,she should stay with him because he's head over heels in love with her. Jowo which is a Yoruba word means Please. The singer hails the parents of the girl for bringing forth such a beaut and promises never to get tired of her talk less of losing her. He assures her of his love for her and pleads with her repeatedly. She's his everything, and he would do anything for her. He just really wants her to listen to him, believe him and trust him. He really means well, he wants to get married to her so he can spend the rest of his life with her. She totally changed him, as he had to hang his boots (player 😉) just for her...lol he had to calm down and man down for only her, hopefully she would finally listen to all his plea and accept him 😌.
