Hello my Afri-tunes people, it's another beautiful week to share and exolre African music in the community. This week marks week #103 and I'll be presenting a song titled "baba" which means "Father" in English by Sonnie Baddu.
This song is actually an old song yet still very lovely and relevant. Today now looking at the economy of the country, we need God to take country of everything, because some greedy leaders aren't making things easy for a common man, all what they are after is just their pocket, we're battling with inflation, the price of goods keep increasing continuously and rapidly and there seems to be no hope that these prices will reduce very soon. The slogan of vendors use to be "yesterday's price is not today's price" but now it has changed to "morning price is different from afternoon price."
Things are getting worse everyday, we need the rain/intervention of the Almighty to make things easy for us.

The second part is the current weather condition of the country, heat is affecting everyone seriously, I'll just say it's beyond normal, haven't experience this kind of heat for a very long time now. It's high time we need rain to take over, so can start enjoying a cool weather. I traveled to another location yesterday and to my greatest surprise I thought the heat of where I was coming from is much not knowing that the heat of where I was going will even be greater, I couldn't sleep last night, even after taking my bath before going to bed, I was still sweating like a Christmas goat, I learnt some people slept outside though maybe I'll just join them today. It's high time we need the physical rain, because the heat is not funny anymore.
I did Acapella version of the song, and I hope you all find it interesting, thanks.
SONG LYRICS
Baba, we're in Your presence
let it rain
Oh, Your rain, let it fall on me
Open the floodgates in abundance
And cause Your rain, to fall on me
Baba
Open the floodgates in abundance
And cause Your rain, to fall on me
Baba o, Baba o …
