My First Phone

in Indiaunited4 months ago

The internet has became a home for everyone to access, in few years ago, the story wasn't the same, it was very hard for us to see phones in part of our world, and not to mention of me owning one.

Well, as time's goes on, I own a phone, I remembered that the phone I owned was not working quite well, it wasn't a browsing phone, and I was having a hard time making calls with it, as at that time, buying a sim card was so expensive, the people who owns sims were regards as the elite.

The phone I owned was a gift from our neighbor, he had it in mind to change his phone and when he did, he gave me the old one, the new phone he bought was an LG phone, it was a modernized phone than the Siemen.

The excitement was fully written all over me, I ran out of his house with that excitement and I am happy, I didn't fell on the ground and wound myself. When he gave me the phone, it was remaining one bar, and I used it to played games, knowing quite well that in the evening he will on his generator and I would charge the phone.

To be sincere, among my friends in the neighborhood, I was the first person who own a phone and in every playgrounds, none of them joke with me, I mean, anything I said, my friends will succumb to it and that's what would be done, just because of the phone in my pocket.

It was just like, I have moved into the apartment of the uncle who gave me the phone, because every night, I was charging the phone in his apartment, up to the point that my parents began to complaints and they almost got the phone from me, if not that I reduced on the way I interact with the phone, because I didn't want it to be seized.

I remember the phone charger was so long, the head part was like a wall socket and the cord was as if it will be used to wire a full building, the phone didn't had a loud sound, but the way it vibrate, I do not think phones these days had that kind of ringing spirit.

It was merely built to vibrate and nothing more. One fateful saturday, I was washing my clothes and I didn't know I have dipped the phone inside the water, I nearly cried, as I am too emotional, I thought it was the end of the phone, and the water was going to make it stop working, but it wasn't so, because, the Siemen phone was somehow like a water resistance device.

It didn't stop working, although, it was low battery, I pressed the power button and it blinks light on the screen, I was told to dry it on the sun, in those moments, I carried the phone like a baby, everything I was doing, that phone must be included.

A day came when the uncle who gave me the phone moved out of the lodge, there was no place around for me to charge the phone frequently as I like, and my parents wouldn't allow me to go outside, that was it, the phone became a device that could not show light on the screen.

I kept it in my school bag, untill that day, it fell down heavily and broke into pieces, at this point, I wasn't worried, I was happy, atleast, I have experience how it is to own a phone, and it gave me the confident that I would have another phone in the future.
