We are in week 154 of the Afritunes weekly contest, and I will be singing a rendition of a song by Pastor Chris Delvan titled “In Obedience to Christ.”. Pastor Chris Delvan is a well known man of God in Nigeria and the world at large. God has used him in no little way. His songs have transformed many souls and he was the minister that released a chant that has no meaning but every spirit bears witness of the chant. The first time I joined the choir in my church, I was asked by my choir leader to bring a song to present, and this was the only song ringing in my head. Then I was strongly told to sing on key, and our director insisted that he wanted me to sing the song, and while we rehearsed the song, I kept on changing keys, but at the end of the day, God helped me, and I was able to present the song without changing keys.
This song has blessed me anytime I sing the song. It gives me directive and gives me a sense of depending only on Jesus Christ and also to bring everything in obedience to Christ and to surrender my all to Him because he cares for me.
