I was blessed enough to experience Trini Carnival in 2000 and the
small Carnival in Tobago 2001 & 2002.
Trini Carnival...
...is the best Street Party on the planet.Period.
3-5 days pure party/winding (dancing Soca) and nearly no sleep.
One of the biggest party leading to Carnival is actually called Insomnia.๐
I slept 8 hours in 3 days.๐
You gotta be a Party animal! Hope i will do it again soon.
The Costumes..."Playing Mas"
"Playing Mas" is what you call to Masquerade for this great Street parade.
And most Trinis work the whole year to afford these amazing Costumes and
"play Mas" for Carnival in February, with different "bands". The best Costumes
are being selected by a jury when they walk on the main stage at Queenspark
Savannah in Port of Spain, Trinidad.
