Hi fellow hivers and ReggaeJahmmers. How are you?
This week I’m dashing out out some ramen and fried rice and most interestingly, seaweed that “spoke”.
Sunday was a very busy day for the family. We were literally out from about ten to ten. That is, we left home about 10 a.m. and got back at about 10p.m. It was indeed a full day.
How We Spent the Day
We went to church face-to-face. It was so good seeing everyone. I’ve gotten accustomed to zoom meetings and they’re quite convenient but nothing compares to face-to-face interaction.
After church we had to meet up with some friends by a playground. We first grabbed lunch, picked up a few stuff at the supermarket and then headed off.
Lunch-My Seaweed Spoke
For lunch we had some ramen and fried rice. They were good and we were hungry. What I really admired, was the way the seaweed in my bowl interacted with me. It made me stop and think before eating. Usually I’d nibble on seaweed or just eat it without much thought. This time around, I noticed it thanked me. My seaweed didn’t only speak, it was multi-lingual. On it, “thanks” was written in about seven languages. I had to get a close up shot.
Can you recognize the languages?
My son asked, “Mom, is it edible?”
I replied, “It must be”.
I had never noticed writings on seaweed before. I think it’s such a good way to show gratitude to customers. I really liked the concept. It was simple but profound.
Playground and Dinner
After lunch we met our friends at a park. It had a lovely playground and some big fields for adventure.
The kids really enjoyed the slides. They also enjoyed walking around to look at flowers, climbing rocks and playing games.
We then all went to one of our friends house for dinner. We had a lovely time.
Have a great week everyone.
