Finally, the release of one of the most highly anticipated Dancehall tracks of 2021 is out on Spotify. The track was released on December 17th but in true Dancehall style, major selectors ( DJs ) have been previewing the track, most notably one of my favorites, DJ Delano from the Renaissance Sound. He played the track on one of his recent Twitch live DJ sets.

The track is a historical one for those who know the history of Dancehall. Bounty Killer played a pivotal role in brining many of today's top Dancehall artists to the spotlight, Vybz Kartel and Busy Signal being two of them from a very long list. But Kartel and Bounty had their difference and it seemed a track like this would never be possible. But here we have this Godzilla of a track to ignite the Dancehall fans around the world.

At first listen, many may wonder why Busy is on the track, though he is one of Bounty's "students" or "children" as they like to refer to mentorship in the Dancehall space, he didn't have any rivalry with Bounty killer and I think that is why he is on it. In a sense it can be seen as the Daddy Bounty, and his two successful sons, one that went a stray and one that stayed loyal, but in the end they both recognize the importance Bounty Killer played in their careers. Vybz Kartel's verse expounds on this in a straight forward way so there is no doubt that Bounty Killer "Dats Godzilla", which is also the hook of the song.

What do you think of this new track by the original Alliance members?

That track bumps! Gadzilla would surely rise to this!

I used to have this one dubstep track that I used to love that I cannot for the life of me find right now. It was years back when I listened to all my music on Soundcloud instead of Spotify as I do now. Whatever track it was had the best buildup ever and was a dubstep/edm track. I sure wish I could find it to share with you, but it must be lost in the ether.

It has a vibe for realz. At first I thought what a repetitive chorus but after listening for a bit it works.

If only Shazam could decipher the name of songs from peoples’ humming. Now that would be something.

Tune Wicked!🇯🇲
Dancehall sounds good with scratches, doesn't it!😉
Nice, that Vybz & Busy show "Daddy" Bounty that #Respect .

It really does! Delano was one of the first I've seen do it back the days.

Is about time. I wonder how much he got paid though 😅

Delano is still in Jamaica?
