Hello Hivers,
Its Christmas morning here in Japan. So since I’m up early I decided to make a quick post to wish you all a Merry Christmas. Fortunately Christmas falls on Saturday this year. Otherwise it would be a regular working day here. Even though Christmas is becoming increasingly popular here, the New Year is celebrated in a bigger way with the first couple of days of the year being holidays.
Of course Christmas trees and decorations can be seen in most department stores and shopping malls. Music representative of the season can be heard in most stores as well including WHAM, Pentatonix, Mariah Carey, Nat King Cole and the list goes on. What's your favorite Christmas Album of song?
The culture is slightly different here but the longer I'm here the more it appears that the scenes and sounds of Christmas is becoming more popular. An interesting part of the Christmas culture here in Japan is that people pre-order chicken special from KFC so on Christmas eve all the customers that go there are just picking up their chicken.
This year we are hoping to spend some time with family and a few friends and neighbors as there are still a few travel restrictions due to COVID and the Omicron strain of the virus. The boys are looking forward to opening their presents and my wife has been busy as a bee shopping and preparing for the weekend.
How will you be spending the Chirstmas weekend? Write a post about it or share your plans with us in the comments below. Whatever you choose to do we wish for you and your family and Merry Christmas and may the Christ of Christmas be with you during this season.
God Bless you
Merry Christmas
