Dashout Sunday: Lobster 🦞 Sea Bream Dish

Happy Sunday Happy Holiday,

Its a three day weekend here in Japan. I'm always look forward to these long weekends because I can spend more time relaxing with my family.
During the week we received a few seafood gifts from our generous neighbors and we decided to make a meal of the seafood items over the weekend. In this post I will give detailed explanation of how I prepared the lobster dish.

Deep Fried Lobster 🦞 with garlic butter and onions

Lobster Preparation
Step 1: Cut lobsters down the middle from head to tail.
Step 2: Wash and Clean lobster 🦞 with vinegar or 🍋.
Step 3: Season to your preference. I used salt and pepper allspice.
Step 4: Pour olive oil in frying pan and allow to heat. Place a crushed clove of garlic in the hot oil.
Step 5: Place lobsters in frying pan and fry until done. Lobster shells should turn red.

Step 6: Preparing Garlic butter Sauce: Chop two cloves of garlic into small pieces and place in foil paper. Add butter and chopped onion. Place foil in toaster oven or heat in the same frying pan.Cook until done.
Step 7: Wow so many steps. Ok the final step is the plating. Choose a plate big enough to hold the lobsters and garnish with orange or lemon slices. Place the lobsters on the plate then spoon the garlic butter sauce on the lobsters.

So here is the complete meal we had on Sunday with a few shots of aspects of the preparation process.
We had deep fried lobster with garlic butter sauce, escovitched fish, rice and peas, vegetable salad 🥗

I love seafood and lobsters are one of my favourites!
When I was younger I had an ambition about having a lobster supper. Then one time, when I was visiting my mum, we kept coming in the house after a walk and there would be a lobster or two sitting on the draining board. It turned out my cousin, who was a fisherman, would drop any unsold lobsters into her on his way home. We ended up having fresh lobster for tea every day!

Would be awesome to have a cousin here who is a fisherman. Unfortunately the only relatives I have in Japan are my wife and sons.lol. But I do have awesome neighbors and a great community. Actually one of my relatives back home who currently lives with my parents is a fisherman.

Would be nice to have lobster on tap like that for sure 😄. My wife would be elated.

Thanks 🙏 @justclickindiva. To be honest we don’t eat gourmet meals every night. But my wife is a food and hospitality major so I sometimes I try to impress her by doing something different.😉 Of course I am enjoying the process of learning something new as well. Especially the eating part. Lol

Lobster gift, dats rich! I could not tell the last time I had some! I could eat seafood everyday of the week. They have some huge fish in the super market near me, I should experiment with them esco-style.

Sometimes the products in the supermarket are discounted up to 50% off. I bought a sizeable snapper half off recently as well.
The supermarkets have been making an effort to avoid waste so sometimes there are great deals.

Thanks bro. Our younger son was reluctant to have the lobster but after he tasted it he kept asking for more.
