You have a good spending habit.

There is this rule I love to play in my mind whenever I want to purchase an item. It's a simple rule that ask us "to earn more than we spend". I will ask myself if I could afford this at the moment and if there's a means I can get back the money I spend (with this I'm talking about my flow of income).

Being conscious of the way we spent is much more important than the earning process.
