Ok ladies and gentlemen mamab is here to welcome you all to another exciting edition of the Afri-tunes weekly participation. This is week #150, wow!. The community is really growing fast, congratulations Afri-tunes on this great achievement.
On this edition, I will be presenting the cover of a Hausa song, one of the major languages spoken in Northern Nigeria titled "Nagode" by Lordswill Angulu. The gospel artist hails from Taraba state in Nigeria. The song was very popular around 2007 and still ministers to as many as are coming across it.
I chose the song because I like the simplicity of reggae songs. The message it carries is also very great though it sounds simple.
The song says what shall I render to Jesus? Thanksgiving is one profound thing we should always be found giving to God.
The lyrics are written by me because I couldn't find it online.
Me zance wa Yesu na
Yesu nagode
Me zance wa Yesu na
Yesu nagode
Yesu yana baya na Yesu yana gaba na
Yesu nagode
Yesu yana baya na Yesu yana gaba na
Yesu nagode
Na duba rayuwa ta
Na duba ciki na
Na duba lafiyan jiki na
Nace Yesu nagode
Na duba rayuwa ta
Na duba ciki na
Na duba lafiyan jiki na
Nace Yesu nagode
Yesu yana baya na
Yesu yana gaba na
Yesu nagode
Yesu yana baya na
Yesu yana gaba na
Yesu nagode
English meaning of the song:
What shall I say to Jesus? I am grateful. He is in back and front.
When I check my life and my health, Jesus I am grateful.
