Hello Music lovers, welcome to Afri – tunes week 97, my name is @kubby56.
It’s an exciting week already and I hope you are all good. So while thinking of what my entry for this week would be a memory of what I experienced back in then in the university and how God came through for me came fresh on my mind so I just thought I should share it with all.
It was in my second level in school during our second semester examination, we were sitting two persons per seat, I and one other colleague of mine did same. Fast forward to almost the end of the paper my answer booklet was taken away from me, why?
Here is why, the guy who sat with me had a piece of paper he wrote somethings in and brought it into the exams hall and was copying from it. He was caught in the act and because we sat together, the course lecturer concluded that I have benefited from the guy’s malpractice.
I was sent out of the exams hall together with the guy even when I had pleaded with the lecturer that I was facing my work and didn’t even know he had something on him, so left and went home. The outcome of this would be that I carryover the course and rewrite it or been invited to the school senate answer for myself. When I got home the first thing I did was to go on my knees and talk to my God, one who never fails.
And guess what, God came through for me, it was as if the incident never took place in the first place. The result came out and I saw “A” in that course, that is remembering it the song “ JESUS IYE” by Natheniel Bassey came into my mind.
IYE is a Nigerian term often used to express Joy or celebration. Listen as I sing this song to reverence and acknowledge Jesus as source of Hope Salvation and Joy
THANK YOU
Lyrics
“Jesus Iye”

Jesus iye
You have done it again
Jesus iye
In your special way
What was impossible
You’ve made possible
Jesus iye

I almost gave up
When it seemed it was impossible
When the odds were up against me
And there was no way
It seemed all over
Then you spoke into the dry bones
What was impossible
You’ve made possible
Jesus iye

For real that can only happen as a result of miracle especially in Nigerian universities...because as we all know, the Nigerian lecturers are sadists.

It was just God my brother
