It has been a long time since the last time I shared my cover here in the Afritunes community and I must say that I miss doing that, but I'm excited to break my silence here with the song Mercy by Moses Bliss ft Sumisola - Pastor Jerry Eze.
The first time I heard this song was when I was on my way to travel to the east. The song played from the speaker of the Sienna car I entered. At first, I wasn't sure who sang the song, so what I did was type the part of the lyrics I heard on Google, and Google did the rest for me. I saved the song with and intention of listening to it later when I had the time to do so, that was in January. However, I never did until Monday morning.
I woke up that morning and I kept hearing that song in my spirit. The next thing I did was search for it on Spotify and play it until noon.
I have listened to the song and now trying to score it, hopefully I will get it right soon. At some point I got confused and knew I had missed the beat.
Following the beat from Sumisola's part was a bit challenging and I know it because I have not taken the time to score it well. I pray I do before the third Sunday of this month cause I have to lead it in my church.
As I was saying in my video, a lot of people in the Bible have experienced God's mercy, and we are not excluded.
Take a look at Adam and Eve, They disobeyed God and ate the forbidden fruit but he still had mercy on them. He gave them a second chance by allowing them to start a new life outside the Garden of Eden, giving them a second chance to obey and follow him. Also, the prodigal son was shown mercy by his father after he returned home. Likewise, we have also experienced God's mercies in different ways.
For those who believe, it is important for us to ask for his mercy and grace.
Just like the artist said in the song, the song mercy isn't meant for everyone but only for those who know they've experienced God's mercy.
