Sarie Marais I think holds deep emotional ties as well..., when we were young at school all these songs were sung regularly and enjoyed. The joy of living in a country with twelve official languages.
Ironically I grew up in Maraisburg growing up from birth to twenty-one, here is English version most definitely sung more in Afrikaans, sounds more original 🙃
