Hello everyone @afri-tunes community, I'm @fab-tay and I'm glad to welcome us all to this Afri-tunes week 107 which is another time to enjoy music of African origin and I'm honoured to share music with great people here. Afritunes community has been known for bringing African Music to the frontline/limelight and this is highly commendable and i say kudos to the @Afri-tunes team @ksam @obaro @starstrings01
For this afri-tunes week 107, i will be doing the cover of one of my favorite song which is "Omeliwo" by Judikay. "Omeliwo" means He has prevailed i.e God has prevailed, which is a song of victory over every situations, challenges, undesired circumstances been faced right now as an individual, family, society or country at large. This is a song of joy and rejoicing because of an assurance of victory nomatter how bad, ugly or discouraging the situation maybe because He has prevailed over it.
I chose this song for this week 107 so as to encourage someone out there that as we go this week, we should go in the conciousness of victory knowingfully well that He has prevailed if we can only believe. Therefore, we need to express our joy and gratitude to God alone who can prevail over situations and challenges far beyond man by His divine ability. Coincidentally, this song was also one of the suggested songs for this week which shows its in line and is to be a great song for someone out there. I particularly love this song because aside the vocal dexterity, melody, good rhythm which all are present, we can also dance to it and be full of joy. Judikay is a great gospel artiste whose songs are of reputation and widely accepted and sung e.g. Capable God, omemma, more than Gold, Alaanu etc. Judikay is a blend of good native language displayed with good music in entirety. I did this cover using both vocal🗣️ and the piano 🎹 instrumentation with the loop of the song gotten using moises app. Thank you all for watching, He has prevailed, you have prevailed.
