Hello everyone and i say happy new week to everyone @afri-tunes community. I'm glad to welcome us all to this Afri-tunes week 100 which is another time to enjoy music of African origin and I'm honoured to share music with great people here. Afritunes community has been known for bringing African Music to the frontline/limelight and this is highly commendable and i say kudos.
For this afri-tunes week 100, i will be doing the cover of the song "YOU ALONE ART WORTHY" by Wale Adenuga which is a song of thanksgiving and acknowledgement of God's faithfulness. I strongly believe that as we abound in thanksgiving this year 2024, we will see more of God's faithfulness in our lives and in all that pertains to us. Forgetfulness is the greatest enemy of humans and it takes a heart of rememberance to give thanks and to abound therein. I selected this song to commemorate the 100th week of Afritunes and to give thanks in advance for this month of February and year 2024.
In addition, this song is one of the most popular Christian song sang at all level/places either Church, schools, meetings, programs etc. This is to relieve our memory of this song and to sing the correct version from the composer himself as there are varying versions especially of the lyrics which has been corrected overtime. The lyrical content of this song are powerful and the instrumentation also awesome with a great vocal dexterity by the lead vocal and the back-ups.
Wale Adenuga is a great gospel music minister whose songs is far and wide accepted in Nigeria, Africa and the world at large. Most of his songs are hit and famous across all boards and he has been to several programs and events both in Nigeria and outside Nigeria. I believe in the power of thanksgiving through acknowledgement and trust in God and as we do so, we see this manifest in us this year even as we abound in pleasant surprises and testimonies.
