Hello everyone @afri-tunes community, I'm @fab-tay and I'm glad to welcome us all to this Afri-tunes week 160 which is another time to enjoy music of African origin in celebration of African artistes and I'm honoured to share music with great people here. Afritunes community has been known for bringing African Music/artiste to the frontline/limelight and this is highly commendable and i say weldone to the @Afri-tunes team @ksam @obaro @starstrings01 @ovey10 for this initiative.
For this afri-tunes week 160, i will be doing the cover of one of my favorite song in recent times which is "Je kiki ahon" meaning "my mouth full of tongues" i.e. even if my mouth is full of tongues, it will never be enough to praise my God. This song is a song of thanksgiving and praises to God haven reflected on His goodness to me even right from the beginning of this year. Indeed, a grateful heart is a great heart and gratitude is key to live a peaceful and enjoyable life especially in this generation where people play light on gratitude and thankfulness. This song is of the YORUBA origin of Southwest Nigeria which i came across and have been singing it of recent even as i heared it from someone and i feel good sharing it here.
Through a reflective thinking, indeed there are too many reasons to give thanks to God. Ranging from daily provisions, sustenance, protection and many other reasons to give God thanks, indeed He deserves the thanks. I chose this song for this week 160 so as to encourage someone out there to abound in thanksgiving and praise to God. As we do this, we will enjoy more of Him as more is given to the grateful not the ungrateful. I did this cover using both the vocal🗣️ and the piano 🎹 background recorded by me. Do enjoy this cover and feel free to engage this post.
