Introducing I Faya 🎶 #RJNAS

in ReggaeJAHM3 years ago

Not so long ago I was introduced to the music of the Suriname born artist Samora via a news article and shared some of her music with the Hive community in my post "Samora A Suriname Born Promising and Talented Reggae Artist 🎶 #RJNAS". Lo and behold I read a news article again and learn of another Suriname born musician, who is known as I Faya.

As I've mentioned before I Faya is born in Suriname and is living in French Guyana at the moment. Besides commercial type of music, he also specializes in rap, dancehall and reggae. What's prevalent in his music are the positive messages in his songs. Same goes for the song Anything Is Possible:

Here's a collaboration between him and Ras Mendel, which resulted in the song United. Herein they sing about the importance of being united and overcoming trials and tribulations. The message is beautifully interwoven with the vibe of the music and if I'm not mistaken some scenes in the videoclip were shot in Suriname.

In the song You, I Faya is calling upon his listeners to take action, because whatever we decide to do today will reflect on tomorrow. Very powerful message, especially for the youth who might not be thinking about the future and how their actions might affect their future.

And yes, I Faya has many more songs under his belt, but wouldn't want to saturate them by posting them all here. From what I've heard so far, I can say that he's come a long way. It's not only his music, but also the videoclips and sound have gotten better. If you appreciate I Faya's music, want to collaborate and/or link up with him, here's where you can find him:
