Ezekiel Joseph: From Musician To Gospel Artist ๐ŸŽถ #RJNAS

While browsing for a reggae artist, that could showcase my gratitude for the warmth and support from the Reggae Jahm community in this post, I came across this multi talented artist by the name Joseph Ezekiel.

After my post, there seemed to be quite some interest into this musician, so I tried finding out more information about him. It took more time than I had anticipated, because the name was either somewhat common or hard to distinguish from all those social media profiles. Or I probably didn't use the right keywords in my search.

All that searching was not for naught the moment I took a chance, by clicking on this Music Brainz link , where I found out that Joseph is from the island Trinidad & Tobago and that he was born in 1991. I then searched for his name and the island and came across this interview, wherein he explains that he didn't start as a gospel artist. He was always playing some sort of instrument, until he received messages from the most High, that he then incorporated into his songs.

I've already shared Ezekiels song I Thank You in the aforementioned post, so here's another song by him titled Only To You. In this song Ezekiel words his relationship with God and how the most High has saved him and that he can trust his all into Him.

Another song that sounds more soulful - which was in collaboration with Durnel Sanderson - is You. Both artists beautifully articulate how God has always been there and has remained loyal through it all. This is especially felt during times of disappointment, abuse, scorn or any other hurt afflicted. Definitely worth a listen.

And this is a modern way in bringing the gospel, via the song Everybody Affi Know. While listening to this song and swaying my body, I'm wondering what my congregation would think if this song was being played in the church. Though they might disagree with the musical genre, they can't oppose the message that Jesus is the savior and that everyone should get to know His grace.

Because Ezekiel has more music available on his YouTube channel, I'll leave it at this. If you appreciate Ezekiels music, want to collaborate and/or link up with him, here's where you can follow him:

I try ๐Ÿ™ˆ. You know, when I was new to the community and read about RJNAS, I didn't think I would ever participate in this initiative, because I had thought that I don't know much about music and am not really in musicians circles...

Definitely a good example of "never say never".

I tell you these songs are needed.

My thoughts also when I was listening to his songs and glad you enjoyed them as well ๐Ÿ˜„.

Quite interesting learning more about Ezekiel.

There were more interviews online, but didn't have time to listen to them all. Definitely a good story about receiving the "messages" from the Most High.

I think so too. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Hi @tanjakolader
I think music is a great, deep and beautiful way to connect with the most divine in the human being.
Because only by doing that you can transcend. I really liked the music you shared. Thank you for it.

It's been my pleasure sharing these songs, especially because of the message it contains. We need a little bit more encouragement these days and heck music is a universal language ๐Ÿ˜„.
