New Amsterdam looks quite different to the Amsterdam that I know, the one over in that country that lies below sea level. Canals here, lots of water and green on your side. Just checked Maps realising for the first time New Amsterdam is more or less part of Paramaribo. Makes sense, but never thought about that :) Nice, you talked a little about the history. Not to be forgotten, just to learn from. I do hope you like to live in Suriname?

I do like the country. I just don't like our government. The country has much more potential; but they should invest the money in the right place. 😅
Governments and spending the money wrong is something that is a bummer. Great you like the country, thats the most important :)
