Blessed Sunday! Hope the week has been good to yah! Today for lunch we went and got something even vegans would love, Yaki soba noodles and veggies. Usually I prefer my Yaki soba with a little meat but this noodle was tasting so good, I didn’t miss meat at all.
The yakisoba shop has been around for over 50 years and is still doing good business. There main has always been takeout but they have a small space for dining. This place always has a stream of customers flowing through and I like the fact that they only have a few items. A long with the yakisoba noodles in 4 sizes ( small, medium, large and jumbo), they also have Japanese sweets with the most popular being Dorayaki.( I will talk about that a later in the post.
After waiting for a couple minutes and watching customers come in and out, our noodles came carried by an elder lady probably in her 80s. I was worried she would drop the plate as she carried it much like my sons do, leaning the plates to one side. This was my plate of noodles and this was the medium size. Not too shabby.
For dessert, I had one of the Dorayakis, with butter in between. Dorayaki is basically mini pancakes with fillings such as butter, beans paste, Mallon, matcha, etc between it like a sandwich. These things also sell like crazy here. The amount of people I saw purchase at least a dozen within the 1hr we were there made me know that this business will probably be around for another 50 years.
Cheers 🥂
And Have a Blessed Week ahead!
