Recently I read an article that detailed the experience of a woman who found a wallet with a million yen on the late night train.
We may be thinking how lucky, or who walks around with a million cash in their wallet. What did she do with it?
Well she did everything in her powers to find the owner and return the money💰. The owner was happy and insisted on a 300,000 yen reward.
How did she spend it?
She accepted, took the money then wrote a note to the owner that thanks was enough and left the note with the 300,000 yen in the owner's mail box.
We might think that there are many strange things about this story. But I can assure you that what some people find strange is that this story appeared on twitter as acts like this are not rare in Japan and the person doing the act doesn't usually seek recognition.
My lost and found experience
In my earlier years working here I recall losing my wallet once.It fell while exiting a car. Before I realised that I lost it I got a call from the police station saying someone found it and dropped it off there and I should come to collect it. When I got there everything was still in my wallet money, cards everything. The person who found it also refused to be identified as they were not interested in a reward.
If any of your friends found a wallet with any amount of money, 💰 what would they do with it? Would they return it to the careless owner or would they keep it?
