I'll be performing a song by Nigerian artist Eben. This song, "You are not a Man," is an expression of praise and worship for the Lord.
This song has such deep significance that it moved me to sing along. When you hear this, what precisely comes to mind? God is not a man. He is not a man, in fact; if he were, then only those in power could live, while the underprivileged would perish. Men will change their thoughts due to a small mistake, as I have done numerous wrongs to them and seen their reactions.
I recall a man giving me time to call and offering to help me with some stuff. When I called him, he told me that he could not offer the stuff to me again because I was not serious for not calling at the appointed time, I tried to apologize but he ended the call and I was not disturbed. To my surprised God now sent another person to give it to me without any conditions attached.
God looks at our lives and extends mercy, even though we sometimes offend Him in several ways. He existed in heaven and sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to die for our sins out of love for us and a desire to bring us back to Himself. God is not a man, in fact.
Eben's song is so strong that it should be heard by everyone, preventing people from becoming offended or believing that certain people are entirely reliant on them is wrong. We are all dependent on one another in order for this world to run well, and we submit to God. When God says you're blessed, it's done. He opens a door that human beings can shut, He can decide to destroy the whole universe and even the one bragging will not survive it. So let’s remain humble.
