Hi everyone! It’s good to be back. I’ve been unable to post entries because I lost my voice. A vocal rest was necessary but I’m grateful to God for restoration.
For this week I’m doing I CANT STAND THE Rain. I Can't Stand the Rain" is a song originally recorded by Ann Peebles in 1973, and written by Peebles, Don Bryant, and Bernard "Bernie" Miller. Other notable versions were later recorded by Eruption, Graham Central Station, and Tina Turner in 1984. I learnt the song few years ago for a competition and it’s stuck with me ever since, I hope you enjoy my take on it.
Lyrics;
Rain against my window, sweet memories
I can't stand the rain against my window
Bringing back sweet memories
I can't stand the rain against my window
'Cause you're not here with me
Hey, window pain do you remember
How sweet it used to be?
When we were together everything was so grand
Now that we've parted there's one thing that I just can't stand
I can't stand the rain against my window
Bringing back sweet memories
I can't stand the rain against my window
How sweet it used to be
Empty pillow where our head used to lay
I know you've got some sweet memories
But like a window you ain't got nothing to say
I can't stand the rain, can't stand the rain
I can't stand the rain against my window
Bringing back sweet memories
I can't stand the rain against my window
Because she's not here with me
I can't stand the rain, I can't stand the rain
I can't stand the rain, said I just can't stand the rain, oh no
I can't stand the rain, said I just can't stand the rain, the rain, the rain
Here me say now I can't stand the rain
I can't stand the rain
