Respect is dignity and a way of living good life

I do not know how I do it, but from the response I got sometimes, a lot of people said that, I am too respectful, and I do not like it when people tells me that I am doing something too much, lols... but can I really stop this attitude and act otherwise? "I don't think so, something I get to know is that, even when I might want to stop it, my instinct doesn't let me do it.

Maybe, it is because, I was not brought up in a way to be disrespecting people, and, to even think about it, it is awesome to respect somebody, that is elder, senior colleague, and in general, a person who play or hold a respective role.

Sometimes our manner's in the offices make people to stop showing us respect, there was once, a video of an administrator goes online, where he have fun with someone inside his office, what happened was that, the security men noticed that something else was going on inside the office, it was in a school, and fortunately, he didn't locked his office, he was exposed, that was how he loose his respect and his job.

In the society, greeting a person is a sign of respect, helping someone we know deserve help is a good kind of respecting ourself, which also brings in respect, following instructions, and not breaking rules can not be escape as one of the signs.

Few years ago, I worked in a company and in that firm, my friend was my superior, he was the person who invited me to submit my credentials for the interview and I did and I came out successful.

When I started the job, we do came across and as an office assistant, my boss used to asked me to sent mails to my friend's office and when I do, it would go with formal settings of starting a letter, which we all know as "Dear Sir" and even times when I go to his office, I called him sir, despite being my friend, he deserves the respect and I must give it to him.

So, one particular saturday, we hang out, and, normally, as my friend, I used to called him his name, but since that time, I got the appointment as a secretary in that organization, it wasn't so easy for me to called him his name freely anymore.

I was somehow twisting it on my mind, what to call him outside work, although I would not want to call him sir as I did in the office, but asked me, if it was all that easy for me to be calling him his name freely as I used to do, it wasn't easy, and at some point, I will laugh, his respectful role in the organization really had a lot of influence on me back then.

Few months time, he was transferred to another place, we didn't see each other frequently and we met once and on a schedule time.

The people that values respect the more are the military personnel.

Yes the military personnel value respect so much cause that part of their training. Here in Nigeria the Yoruba people never joke worth respect.
There is a saying that respect is reciprocal.

Yes, you are right about it, continue to have a good time 🥰🙏
