It happens long ago, back in 2014, I heard that a lot of artists were going to performed live in the garden city of Port Harcourt, I chat up my friend that we should be there, surprisingly the guy told me that, he and his brother has already booked their tickets for the event, I was happy atleast, I have people I would be going to the show with.
I hurriedly purchased my own ticket, heard back to my guy and told him that, I have purchased mine also, being a village boy who were not used to the city life, it makes me happy that I will be going to the show with people, who were brought-up in the city, so I will be taking care of, when we get there.
The day of the show arrived, and we were on our way to the venue, we got to port Harcourt, and I was carrying my face up and down, it happens that, I was in love with the city view, it was in the night, and, on the other hand, I was not so free with the colors of lights and how car's were passing here and there on the roads.
Honestly, I find it so odd to coop, my friends elder brother noticed my mood in the city, then told me, to take things gently and I will flow along, what I did was to take a deep breath and my mood began to change gradually to the city lifestyle.
We got to the venue, and the show already kicked off, it was amazing, a lot of people were there.
I witnessed for the first time how artists performed on stage, some artists were so funny, as they did not just start with singing their song's but will cracks some joke's for the audience and then went ahead to make their performance.
I saw how many people cried the time their best artist came out, and some wanted to go to the stage and gave them a hug, It was my first time to witnessed all of that, but in as that, the artists performances were all lovely.
The show was till dawn but we booked a room in a hotel and spent the night, we were feeling so tired and we could not stand and watch every artists performances, the ones we saw was enough.
When we went back, my friend used my first time reaction in the city, to pulled my legs, at some point, I will be ashamed when he speaks it in public, but on the other hand, I was not letting it bother me at all.
Because, the first time of us, having an experience of something is always difference from when we have had it, I still remember that day, not because of how I reacted in the city but as my first time attending a show where many artists make performances.
