I really like the way you present your dish like this before you cook them! Partly the outdoor feel makes it look super natural and refreshing! I'm not exactly sure if I had this before, I don't usually order food at the Indian restaurant, my home minster does. It does looks a lot like the varuval version I usually had here.

Never heard of this dish, but it looks very South Indian. They do appear very similar, perhaps just a North Indian style vs South Indian style thing. I must admit, I cook mostly South Indian foods because they are so full of flavor, but there are certain North Indian dishes that are irresistible even if mildly flavored. I also think North Indian foods are a little more kid-friendly.

Great, I am staring at the above photo having not eaten breakfast yet, need to solve this problem ASAP!
