HIVE MUSIC FESTIVAL WEEK 111, (ROUND 3) COVER OF CASTING CROWN BY @OLUTHOMAS
Greetings to all music fans and Hive's incredible users. I'm still @oluthomas, a music enthusiast, and I'd like to welcome you to my blog.
I will be singing and playing piano in a cover of a song written by Nathaniel Bassey, a well-known and wonderful Nigerian gospel singer, pastor, and devout follower of God, in Week 111, Round 3 of the Hive Music Festival. The title of the song is Casting Crown.
I asked myself, "Do I really have a crown to cast down?" before deciding to sing this song, which is a song of worship to God. I started asking myself whether I had any crowns I needed to put down before the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, the beginning and the end, as the questions popped out of my spirit. Prayerlessness, then, is a crown insofar as we are unable to humble ourselves before the Lord and pray; this alone gives the impression that we are in control of our lives, something I have repented of, and my act of worship to Him must be changed to be in accordance with Christ.
The lyrics of the song speak a lot of selflessness and making yourself look like nothing before God; firstly, we cast our crown; secondly, lifting our hands and bowing down before the King is what we've come to do. I see this song of adoration to God in that light.
This song has a way of making me want more of God and worship Him with all of my heart. I've noticed that I attempted a lot of different approaches in the hopes of finding rest and peace. However, I now understand that I am complete only in Christ and that whatever I do is done in Him. Even when things don't always go as planned, we nevertheless put our faith in God instead of men.
I truly appreciate everyone who took the time to read my post. I just want to say thank you, but I wish I had better words.
Please, if you can, like, comment, share, and lend your support. Stayed, Happy Family!
