Hello friends of the Hive Music Zone community, my name is @jesus-son and I welcome you all to my blog on this occasion of the Hive Music festival week 104 Round 2. It is my pleasure to keep sharing music with you all and I hope this interests you.
In this post, I shall share a cover of a song titled "Glorious God" by the Nigerian artiste, Elijah Oyelade. This is one of the good Nigerian Musicians. Although he doesn't have much songs to his credit but the few are powerful and evoke the spirit when one listens to them. The song, Glorious God is a song of deep worship of God.
I remember learning this song when I was still little going to secondary school. It was like a national anthem then at school because we would sing it almost every day at the assembly ground. Well, this is understandable by Nigerians who attended school from 4 years ago and down. These days due to insecurity issues, some schools have stopped the practice of general assembly before the beginning of the day's lessons.
At the assembly ground, there used to be moment of praise and worship and then recitation of several other national stuffs and some words of announcements for the students. It was a means of disseminating vital information and means of gathering students of different classes together.
The song "Glorious God" is one that recognises the might of God and exalts Him with praises. God is called dthe Alpha and the Omega, the Ageless, Changeless and the Jehovah Jireh God. It is a good thing to praise God from our innermost being because when we do, we promote Him to the world and save souls who perish for lack of His knowledge.
My practice of playing the guitar is getting better these days and I am glad I am improving. Well, somebody on Hive challenged me to take it serious. Prior to now, I was not interested in improving my guitar skills as I thought I didn't need it but I admired the way the musicians around Hive use it to accompany their songs and I was challenged to try to be like them.
I was only familiar with the key G, C and F chords before now. But now I can play B, B flat which are difficult and some other keys. It's really interesting. At the beginning, I felt discouraged because of the difficulty but I am glad I persisted and I am seeing the result.

En esta publicación, compartiré una versión de una canción titulada "Glorious God" del artista nigeriano Elijah Oyelade. Este es uno de los buenos músicos nigerianos. Aunque no tiene muchas canciones en su haber, algunas son poderosas y evocan el espíritu cuando uno las escucha. La canción Dios Glorioso es una canción de profunda adoración a Dios.
Recuerdo haber aprendido esta canción cuando aún era pequeña yendo a la escuela secundaria. Era como un himno nacional en la escuela porque lo cantábamos casi todos los días en el lugar de reunión. Bueno, esto es comprensible para los nigerianos que asistieron a la escuela desde hace 4 años en adelante. Estos días, por motivos de inseguridad, algunas escuelas han suspendido la práctica de la asamblea general antes del inicio de las clases del día.
En el lugar de la asamblea solía haber un momento de alabanza y adoración y luego la recitación de varios otros temas nacionales y algunas palabras de anuncios para los estudiantes. Era un medio para difundir información vital y un medio para reunir a estudiantes de diferentes clases.
La canción "Dios Glorioso" es aquella que reconoce el poder de Dios y lo exalta con alabanzas. Dios es llamado el Alfa y la Omega, el Eterno, el Inmutable y el Dios Jehová Jireh. Es bueno alabar a Dios desde lo más íntimo de nuestro ser porque cuando lo hacemos, lo promocionamos en el mundo y salvamos almas que perecen por falta de su conocimiento.
Mi práctica de tocar la guitarra está mejorando estos días y me alegro de estar mejorando. Bueno, alguien en Hive me retó a tomarlo en serio. Hasta ahora, no estaba interesado en mejorar mis habilidades con la guitarra porque pensaba que no la necesitaba, pero admiraba la forma en que los músicos de Hive la usan para acompañar sus canciones y me desafiaron a tratar de ser como ellos.
Hasta ahora solo estaba familiarizado con los acordes clave G, C y F. Pero ahora puedo tocar Si, Si bemol que son difíciles y algunas otras tonalidades. Es realmente interesante. Al principio me sentí desanimado por la dificultad pero me alegro de haber persistido y estoy viendo el resultado.
