I step out today and i realized that there is a lot going on in the city lately, because the road was very clear, unlike other's day that i rarely moved without meeting a single holdup on the way before getting to where I was heading to. Although I was not going far place.
The essence of writing isn't about the ongoing in the city, maybe, it will be a post of another day, but right now, the hold up got me writing this piece.
I used to heard of hold up in city's like Lagos, Abia, Enugu and so on, but it isn't a thing I hear in far places anymore, I have witnessed it closer by. Hold up is truly something I really dislike, because the disadvantage it has in the daily tasks we wanted to do are so much, infact, I do not think it has so many good.
I recalled this particular day i was heading to the supermarket, it was just few stuff's I wanted to get there, and then, turned back to the house, and continue with what I was doing.
But because I met hold up on the road, I was there inside the tricycle for many hours, and beside it, i was sweating as big truck's were still on ignition on the roads, and we know how vehicles like that smoke, nevertheless, it wasn't it alone, because other's small car's were on, and waiting to moved once the road clear.
Then, did the hold up clear up on the road in just a few minutes? No, it took a lot of time's, and when I think about it, I realized that it should have been very okay, if I was to buy the stuffs I wanted in a shop closer by, yet, I wanted to get it at the supermarket, because the type i was looking for was at the supermarket.
Yet, because I did not see any means, as if the hold up was going to get cleared up soon, I step down, and went back to get the product that was available close to me.
Therefore, it turns out that it works just as I wanted, and why I was using it, I think of, "why did I have to bother going to the supermarket, maybe, the hold up was a sign for me to return back and better, get the product that was closer by, and then focused on the activities I was doing.
When hold up came up on roads, driver's tends to make less amount of money, and those that would not enter it that particular day are always happy.
That day on that hold up, a friend to the driver was driving at the other lane, when he saw his friend's car in the hold up, he has to come and talked to him, all he was saying was that, "he forget to tell him when he was moving to take a different road, and that would have make him not to entered that hold up.
He felt sorry for him, because it was type that was not going to clear up in just a matter of time.
