It's the end of the school term, and my nephew is back from school. Today was their result day, that is the day, teachers will let each pupil's to know their performance in class.
Before my nephew went to school, I have already promised him something, that is, "if he came out among the "first, second or third" position, I was going to plug a lot of mangoes for him.
I was in the house taking a nap, because I felt tired after washing a whole lot's of clothes very early in the morning, so, when he came back from school, I did not notice it.
I only heard the noise he and his friends make in the pavement, as they were playing coke cover. I called them, and asked each of them, including my nephew what was their position in the results.
They all told me, but when it came to my nephew, he was doing as if he did not hear his name in the result, he almost shed tears in my present, so, i began to tell him not to do that, because, last term he performed very good, so, if he did not make it good this term, he should not worry, but should prepare to read harder next term, which will begin in few weeks time.
Then, his friends starts to smile. Believe me, it makes me wondering, "why was his friend smiling?, and then, another of his friend also did the same thing, he joined the other one.
Yet, my nephew was very serious, I asked them, "what is making them to smile? none of them want to say something, but were looking at my nephew's face.
At this point, he was still serious in his business. I was deeply moved, because that was the last thing I wanted him to do, it will still be okay if he did not make good result, but I will not fulfilled my promise of plugging those mangoes too, yet that acting he did was unbelievable.
Hmmm... I did not know my nephew can act so well, he did that on purpose, just to make me think he did not make good result, meanwhile, he came out third in their class.
Later on, he smile very much, and said to me "April fool", I got really surprised, as i did not know who told him to do that.
Thereafter, he asked me of the mangoes as promised, I told him all the mangoes has overripe, so when I wanted to plug them, I end up getting no fruits from the tree.
This deal is, I wanted to do him, my own version of April fool, and it works, but he was not thinking about it so hard, he did as if nothing was wrong, meanwhile, he was the one that told his friends to come to the house, because uncle will have mangoes fruit ready for him.
So without wasting time, I get in the house, and brought out the fruits, he was very happy, and that was when he told me how people clap at him, because he make third position in the class.
To be sincere, I am delighted to hear something like that, and as far as he continues to make good result in school, I will shower blessings.
