One thing that I have found that takes the grace of most people is too much annoyance, and this comes as a result of not being humble.
Humility is very necessary in the characteristics of someone's life, because there is no one in this life who is humble, and he/she will not be rewarded in the end, and on the other hand, it is good for a person to be angry about something he/she doesn't feel so good about, but it is very bad for a person to allow the fullness of that anger to take over, which could take a long time to be relieved in his/her heart.
When a disagreement arises in a group of people and at the end of the meeting all the people in the group agree on one thing, that would be a very good thing to remember, but in a situation where at the end the discussion continues to drag on, that can spoil a lot of things in the group for those people.
I once saw a man who was running for a chairmanship position in the local zone in my state, he was known as the man most people supported and wanted in the position to represent them, but he was not in politics, he didn't use to do politics, so, because the zoning favoured his district, he went out to take the position, which was his right, because every person has the right to vote and be voted for in an election, so most of the politicians in the area don't know him as a politician, although he was known as someone who uses his wealth to take care of the needy.
So the people who do politics in that area, realised that the district he belongs to wanted him for the position of chairman, so he was called by the politicians to hold on, and maybe when the next turn comes, he can take over the position of chairman in the local government area, representing his people.
Because the people who were already in the system had already arranged things, the way politics works is that, the politicians plan for the year to come, and they distribute the positions among the people, even when the time has not yet come, which means that, the person who was going to be the chairman was already decided by the people, that makes leaders in the local government.
But the man who came out and demanded the position, didn't accept to hold on to next turn, he kept on dragging and wanting to be the chairman, and the chairmanship position was not given to him, because as many people supported him, he did not agree, he showed his power to some extent, but as he was only one man, the people who supported him were the least privileged. So he could not take the power himself, after the other person was announced and took office, he was left without accepting the position, in the next four years.
meanwhile, people who follow the system and do not complain in any way, are still in line, and one thing is for sure, as long as they are still in the business, they would benefit in one way or another.
A person who is able to learn to accept defeat would grow in life, accepting this defeat does not mean that, the person who was given the position was better than you, but it shows humility and the interest you have for the people, and a person who is humble, is bound to go unrewarded in any business.
