The @Hiveopenmic community has been supportive and advancing the course of music, creativity, originality and i will like to appreciate @cabelindsay @jesuslnrs and others for this initiative and greatwork been done here. The theme for this Hive Open Mic 231 is "AFRITUNES" which is a way of appreciating and celebrating music/artistes of African origin in partnership with @afritunes community.

La comunidad @Hiveopenmic ha estado apoyando y avanzando en el curso de la música, la creatividad, la originalidad y me gustaría agradecer @cabelindsay @jesuslnrs y otros por esta iniciativa y el gran trabajo realizado aquí. El tema de este Hive Open Mic 231 es "AFRITUNES", que es una forma de apreciar y celebrar la música/artistas de origen africano en asociación con la comunidad @afritunes.
Africa is a continent blessed with diverse languages, tribes and culture. The continent is known to be in the trophics and known for its characteristic warm/hot weather with the people having a characteric black colouration which beautifies us and made us unique. Musically, africans are known for good and quality music right from the traditional (tribal) music up to the afro juju, afro beats, the gospel music and other forms of music. Many great artistes of different music genres has risen through the shores of the continent notably among whom are: Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Angélique kidjo, King Sunny Ade, Davido, wizkid, Burna Boy, Nathaniel Bassey and many others.
África es un continente bendecido con diversos idiomas, tribus y culturas. Se sabe que el continente está en la zona trófica y es conocido por su característico clima cálido y caluroso, con gente que tiene una coloración negra característica que nos embellece y nos hace únicos. Musicalmente, los africanos son conocidos por su música buena y de calidad, desde la música tradicional (tribal) hasta el afro juju, los afro beats, la música gospel y otras formas de música. Muchos grandes artistas de diferentes géneros musicales han surgido por las costas del continente entre los que destacan: Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Angélique kidjo, King Sunny Ade, Davido, wizkid, Burna Boy, Nathaniel Bassey y muchos otros.
In Africa, music is well appreciated as it found expressions in academics/learning in Schools especially the early childhood education, also it is a source of income to some as music teachers/instructors, artistes, instrumentalists, producers. In addition, music is a major form of entertainment in ceremonies, events, festivals in Africa. Music has evolved greatly in Africa from the traditional drums, gongs it started with to the use of sophisticated modern instruments nowadays. The music industry in Africa is a major sector for African countries most especially in Nigeria my dear country.
En África, la música es muy apreciada ya que encontró expresiones en el ámbito académico/aprendizaje en las escuelas, especialmente en la educación infantil, y también es una fuente de ingresos para algunos como profesores/instructores de música, artistas, instrumentistas y productores. Además, la música es una forma importante de entretenimiento en ceremonias, eventos y festivales en África. La música ha evolucionado mucho en África desde los tambores tradicionales, los gongs con los que comenzó, hasta el uso de sofisticados instrumentos modernos en la actualidad. La industria musical en África es un sector importante para los países africanos, especialmente en Nigeria, mi querido país.
For this week Hive Open Mic, i will be doing the cover of the song "Omeliwo" meaning "He has prevailed" which is a song from Nigeria (Africa) owned by one of the brightest Nigeria gospel singer: Judikay. This song is a song of gratitude and acknowledgement of God as the almighty. His power is seen in Africa right from the beautiful weather, climate, resources He endowed us with in Africa to the diversity of human cultures, tribes, languages in Africa, yet He sustained everyone. Also, this song shows the sovereignty of God over all His creatures and to change situation/circumstances around for good.
Para esta semana Hive Open Mic, haré la versión de la canción "Omeliwo", que significa "Él ha prevalecido", que es una canción de Nigeria (África) propiedad de uno de los cantantes de gospel de Nigeria más brillantes: Judikay. Este canto es un canto de gratitud y reconocimiento de Dios como todopoderoso. Su poder se ve en África desde el hermoso clima, el clima y los recursos con los que nos dotó en África hasta la diversidad de culturas humanas, tribus e idiomas en África, pero Él sostuvo a todos. Además, esta canción muestra la soberanía de Dios sobre todas sus criaturas y cómo cambiar la situación/circunstancias para siempre.
I chose this song for this week because it aligns with the theme for this week on "AFRITUNES" which in detail inspires thanksgiving to God for His almightiness seen in Africa, Africans and all over the world. Also, this song inspires us to know the power in the divine to help humanity as He is a good and merciful God to us all. I did this cover involving both the vocal and keyboard 🎹 accompanied alongside. Do enjoy this cover and i wish us all a great week ahead.
Elegí esta canción para esta semana porque se alinea con el tema de esta semana en "AFRITUNES", que en detalle inspira acción de gracias a Dios por Su omnipotencia vista en África, los africanos y en todo el mundo. Además, esta canción nos inspira a conocer el poder de lo divino para ayudar a la humanidad, ya que Él es un Dios bueno y misericordioso con todos nosotros.
