It didn't look like him
I know he wouldn't want to miss
he loves coming to work
he feels delighted about his job
break times at work I sit close to him
the person I learned grateful work habit from
but today who did i learning from
he came punctual everyday
but today he came late
I just looked again it was him.
Check on his duty post he wasn't there
his supervisor was at the place
he came before him
we know it wasn't like Jim
something must be wrong
I asked what it might be
praying it should be nothing serious
best thing he is here with us
my energy booster in work
the person I talked to in the hall
who speak impact's words.
He felt bad I just pictured it
I told him I covered for him
he knows i was been funny
just something to say
he was exhausted from the trek
he sweat a lot
I told him about my food and water
he needs to eat and drink for work
it was his alarm
he came late due to that.
Not like other days, Jim is always among the people who came early, if I do not met him at the gate, waiting for the company bus, I will met him on his duty post, but today was not the same thing.
It got me wondering, and other people did the same thing as well, because this guy is known for his punctuality, he is a perfect time keeper.
It just a minute ago that we talked and he told me that his alarm clock fell to the floor, he suspect his hands touch it in the night and he did not know, so, as he always expect that sound from it, he was having it the wrong side today, and got totally late to work.
The worst of it is that, he came when the three company bus that used to wait for workers has already left, he had to trek, and as I saw him coming in, I picture something was wrong, but I am happy that it's nothing much, but just lateness which I used to picture myself as well, in some days.
But I prayed I do not report late any day, as I do not want a reduction in my salary 😁😁
