For week 155 of the AfriTunes Weekly Contest, I will be singing a cover of a song by Minstrel K.I featuring K-String, titled “Prayer.” This powerful song is a heartfelt plea to God, asking Him to hear our heartfelt and prayers. We bring all our life challenges and circumstances before Him because there is no one else who can truly help and genuinely understand us except Him.
The song is in Hausa, a widely spoken language here in northern Nigeria. It is a song of total surrender to God Almighty, acknowledging that when we come to the end of ourselves, the only thing left to do is hand everything over to Him to take charge and to dominate. We must give our all and allow Him to take charge of our lives completely before we can experience his moves in our lives.
