Hive Power Up Day - March 1st 2022

in Hive Power3 years ago

The Hive Power Up Day (PUD) is taking place on the first day of every month and the next one of 2022 will occur in a few days, on March 1st.

HiveBuzz supports this initiative which allows you to collect Power-bee badges if you participate in the Hive Power Up Day.

For more information about the next coming PUD, you can read this post from @traciyork.

1. The Power-Bees levels

The more HIVE you power-up on Power Up Day, the bigger your power-bee.

And here is how the levels are distributed:

Level 1 - Power up at least 10 HIVE
Level 2 - Power up at least 50 HIVE
Level 3 - Power up at least 100 HIVE
Level 4 - Power up at least 500 HIVE
Level 5 - Power up at least 1000 HIVE

2. The Power-Up Helper

The Power-Up Helper badge allows you to get one more badge when helping others to power up.

TLDR; Get rewarded for the help you provide! By helping others to power up, you are showing everyone how mutual support is an important concept within the Hive community.

You will now be able to collect PUH badges each year, which will generate a major leverage effect on the size of our delegations to you.

If you participate in the Power Up Month challenge too, the more PUH badge you have, the more you will receive a significant delegation from us. Those who have already obtained it in previous years therefore already have a significant advantage.

For more information on how to get the Power Up Helper badge, read this post.

How to get your Power Up Day badge?

  1. You will have to power up HIVE on the 1st day of the month.

    IMPORTANT:
HiveBuzz will use UTC date and time to validate when your powered-up. Therefore, check your timezone and convert your local time to UTC before powering up! To help you not miss the moment when you can do your power-up, we added a countdown to our website.

  2. Power-up at least 10 HIVE. This will entitle you to the smallest power-bee. The more HIVE you power up, the bigger your power-bee!

  3. You don't have to power them up in one step. All the Hive powered up will be counted together at the end of the day.

Strictly follow these rules and this badge will be on your board!

The badges will be distributed to all successful participants at the end of the Power Up Day.

Why participate in the Hive PUD

The first reason is to have fun and get a badge!

And here are some other great reasons to power-up your HIVE:

  • Strengthen your influence on the blockchain with stronger votes on content, proposals and witnesses.
  • Earn more curation rewards. The more Hive Power you have, the more you can potentially earn back
  • Earn "interest" by holding Hive Power. You will also earn HIVE passively at about 3% per year of what you currently have powered up so the more HIVE you have, the more you can earn from just holding!

Finally, several amazing members, like @victoriabsb, @traciyork, @theycallmedan, @eddiespino, @aliento, @improv, @cmplxty, @fionasfavourites, @hiveph, @livinguktaiwan, @apeminingclub, @raymondspeaks, @brofund, @dswigle. and others, are offering prizes that include delegations, Hive giveaways, and other cool stuff to the Hive PUD participants.

Be ready and Power Up!

Hi @hivebuzz! I was just wondering if you were still doing the Hive Power-Up Day Bee Badge? I was pretty sure I powered-up in the time frame but didn't get the badge. Thanks! 💖

hmmm. Something might have happened here. I powered up 10 Hive on both my account and @recording-box account. I got the badge, the other one didn't.

Yep, but it looks like it has been fixed now. 😊

Yeah, certainly got fixed for me :) thanks for replying.

We have been late to deliver badges because of HiveSQL maintenance. It should be ok now

I powered up earlier, lol. I will try to power up some more tomorrow my time then

Yeah me too, ha ha. I really want to do this challenge, but I would rather not leave my HIVE just sitting there not powered up for days and lose value...the best strategy is to power-up your HIVE immediately. Oh well, maybe if there is ever a price dip on the 1st of the month, I will just buy some more HIVE to finally get one of the badges/achievements., ha ha.

Unless someone wants to be kind enough to be a "Power Up Helper" to help me get the badge. ;)

Not sure how that works exactly, I guess they just lend you a fraction of their HP temporarily?

Yepp that would be great.

And yes, they lend you a part of HP

Thanks for the info.

I powered up 16 Hive! and the last days i just powered up to be able to reach 100 Hive before today so I can participate in the challenge.
As a summary, today I have received my first PUD badge and have participated in the challenge for the first time as well. Not bad!

Hi! I'm curious, what does this symbol mean here? I figure maybe its related to PUD, since my rep is too high to participate?
Just curious! Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply. This symbol indicated that powering up to this user will not make you eligible for a Power Up Helper badge as that user already made a power-up.

no worries, thanks for the info!

Hello @hivebuzz, powered up 41 hive yesterday but I'm yet to receive a badge

Just powered up 50 HIVE. This is my first time to participate. I hope it works.

Hi @hivebuzz and @arcange

Is HiveBuzz down at the moment? It doesn't seem that my badge loaded, I'm not sure if this is on my side that it's not updating or if there's a problem elsewhere?
