This video shows me playing the song Lonely at the Top by Asake on the guitar to a very small audience. This is one song that I have always loved from the first time since I listened to it, even though I am not an ardent lover of afrobeats as tge average Nigerian is. My favorite line from the song is “out here on the road chasing my dreams because I know no one can chase it for me.”
I believe this line is self-explanatory, and it is one that I try to abide by everyday.
As an aspiring professional musician who aims to know day perform for an audience of thousands, I am learning that before the thousands is the one. I strive to perform for an audience of one as I would an audience of a million, honing my skills in the process. I therefore deeply appreciate all who will view this video. This is for you.
